   هدف از این مطالعه، تأثیر سطوح مختلف تفاله مالت بر عملکرد، فراسنجه ­های تجزیه­ پذیری شکمبه ­ای، برخی فراسنجه­ های خونی و تولید گاز در بره­ های نر پرواری نژاد زل بررسی شد. در آزمایش اول، برای بررسی اثرات سطوح مختلف تفاله مالت بر عملکرد رشد و برخی فراسنجه­ های خونی، در قالب طرح کاملاً تصادفی با 4 جیره آزمایشی حاوی صفر، 10، 20 و 30 درصد تفاله مالت از 16 رأس بره نر با میانگین وزن 2±30 کیلوگرم و سن حدود پنج ماه به مدت 90 روز استفاده شد. جیره­ ها از نظر انرژی و پروتئین قابل متابولیسم مشابه بودند. نتایج نشان داد که تفاوت آماری معنی­ داری بین تیمارهای آزمایشی در خوراک مصرفی روزانه در کل دوره وجود داشت (05/0>p). همچنین افزایش وزن بدن، ضریب تبدیل غذایی و فراسنجه­ های خونی بین تیمارهای آزمایشی تفاوت آماری معنی­ داری نداشت. نتایج میانگین گوارش پذیری ظاهری مواد مغذی به­ طور معنی ­داری تحت تأثیر تیمارهای آزمایشی قرار گرفت (05/0>p)، طوریکه با افزایش سطح تفاله مالت تا 30 درصد، قابلیت هضم ظاهری چربی خام به ­طور معنی­ داری افزایش، ولی قابلیت هضم ظاهری ماده خشک، پروتئین خام و NDF به­ طور معنی­ داری کاهش پیدا کرد. در آزمایش دوم، تجزیه­ پذیری شکمبه‌ای ماده خشک، پروتئین خام وNDF جیره ­های آزمایشی با استفاده از روش کیسه نایلونی و با 3 رأس گوسفند نر دارای فیستولای شکمبه­ ای نژاد زل تغذیه شده در حد نگهداری اندازه­ گیری شد. زمان­های شکمبه­ گذاری شامل صفر، 4، 8، 16، 24، 36، 48، 72 و 96 ساعت بود. تفاوت معنی­ داری در تجزیه­ پذیری ماده خشک، پروتئین خام و NDF بین تیمارها مشاهده شد (05/0>p). تجزیه ­پذیری نمونه­ ها به ­جز در بخش سریع ­التجزیه پروتئین خام که با افزایش همراه بود، در سایر بخش ­ها به­ طور معنی ­داری کاهش یافت. نرخ فراسنجه­ های تولید گاز در شرایط آزمایشگاهی بین تیمارهای آزمایشی اختلاف آماری معنی­ داری داشت (05/0>p). نتیجه کلی حاصل از این تحقیق نشان داد که استفاده از سطح 30 درصد تفاله مالت، مصرف خوراک بره‌ها را در کل دوره آزمایش به ­طور معنی‌داری کاهش داد و مصرف آن در جیره بره ­های پرواری بدون اثر منفی بر عملکرد رشد و قابلیت هضم مواد مغذی جیره، قابل توصیه است.
