    به­ منظور بررسی اثرات مکمل‌های اسیدی­ کننده جیره بر عملکرد و ویژگی‌های بیوشیمیایی خون بلدرچین ژاپنی آزمایشی با استفاده از 400 قطعه بلدرچین ژاپنی یک­ روزه در قالب 4 تیمار و 5 تکرار و 20 قطعه بلدرچین در هر تکرار و به­ مدت 35 روز انجام شد. تیمارهای آزمایشی شامل شاهد، جیره حاوی 300 میلی‌گرم در کیلوگرم آنتی­بیوتیک ویرجینیامایسین، جیره حاوی 2/0 درصد مکمل تجاری بیواسید اولترا و جیره حاوی 4/0 درصد بیواسید اولترا بودند. نتایج نشان داد که بیشترین و کمترین مصرف خوراک به ­ترتیب در تیمار شاهد و تیمار حاوی آنتی بیوتیک مشاهده شد و تفاوت آماری معنی‌داری بین تیمارها وجود داشت (05/0 p<). بیشترین افزایش وزن در تیمار حاوی اسید 4/0 درصد مشاهده شد که به جز تیمار شاهد با سایر تیمارها تفاوت معنی‌داری نداشت (05/0 p>). از نظر ضریب تبدیل خوراک بین تیمارهای دریافت­کننده اسید و تیمار حاوی آنتی‌بیوتیک تفاوت معنی داری وجود نداشت و بدترین ضریب تبدیل خوراک در تیمار شاهد مشاهده شد. بالاترین مقدار تری‌گلیسرید و لیپوپروتئین با چگالی پائین در تیمار شاهد به دست آمد که با سایر تیمارها تفاوت معنی‌داری داشت (05/0 p<). تیمارهای دریافت­کننده اسید و نیز آنتی‌بیوتیک از نظر دو پارامتر فوق کمترین مقدار را داشتند. از نظر آنزیم‌های کبدی تفاوت معنی‌داری بین تیمارها وجود داشت به طوری که بالاترین مقدار در تیمار شاهد و کمترین مقدار در تیمارهای دریافت­کننده اسید و آنتی‌بیوتیک مشاهده شد (05/0 p<). در کل نتایج نشان داد که می‌توان از بیواسید اولترا به ­عنوان جایگزین آنتی‌بیوتیک در جیره بلدرچین استفاده نمود و البته استفاده از سطح 4/0 درصد نتایج بهتری را دربر داشت.
