مقدمه و هدف: در شرایط فعلی کشور که کمبود مواد خوراکی مورداستفاده در تغذیه دام وجود دارد استفاده از ضایعات می­تواند از سه جنبه کم کردن وابستگی دام به غلاتی که توسط انسان مصرف می‌شود، کاهش هزینه تأمین مواد مغذی موردنیاز دام و حذف برنامه ­های پرهزینه ازبین‌بردن پس‌مانده‌های صنایع تبدیلی کشاورزی و جلوگیری از آلودگی محیط‌زیست حاصل از انباشت این پس‌مانده­ها موردتوجه و عمل قرار گیرد. تفاله خرما محصولی است که پس از استخراج شیره خرما به دست می‌آید و قسمت گوشتی و پوسته خرما را شامل می‌شود. تفاله خرما می­ تواند جانشین منابع گران‌قیمت کربوهیدرات شود. هدف از این طرح بررسی اثرات افزودن سطوح مختلف تفاله خرما بر کیفیت، فراسنجه‌های تخمیری و گوارش‌پذیری یونجه سیلو شده و تعیین بهترین سطح استفاده از تفاله خرما در یونجه سیلو شده بود.
مواد و روش‌ها: این پژوهش در قالب طرح کاملاً تصادفی با ۹ تیمار و ۳ تکرار انجام شد. تیمارهای آزمایشی عبارت بودند از: یونجه (شاهد)، یونجه 97/5 درصد + تفاله خرما 2/5 درصد، یونجه 95 درصد + تفاله خرما 5 درصد، یونجه 92/5 درصد + تفاله خرما 7/5 درصد، یونجه 90 درصد + تفاله خرما 10 درصد، یونجه 87/5 درصد + تفاله خرما 12/5 درصد، یونجه 85 درصد + تفاله خرما 15 درصد، یونجه 72/5 درصد + تفاله خرما 17/5 درصد، یونجه 80 درصد + تفاله خرما 20 درصد. به‌منظور برآورد فراسنجه ­های تولید گاز، از آزمون تولید گاز استفاده شد. پایداری هوازی سیلاژ یونجه در ساعت­های مختلف پس از بازکردن درب سیلوها ارزیابی شد.
یافته­ ها: نتایج نشان داد که بین تیمارها اختلاف معنی­داری از لحاظ ترکیب شیمیایی وجود دارد. در بین تیمارهای آزمایشی یونجه سیلاژ شده دارای 15 درصد تفاله خرما کمترین میزان نیتروژن آمونیاکی را در مقایسه با سایر تیمارها به طور معنی داری به خود اختصاص داد. افزودن سطوح مختلف تفاله خرما به سیلاژ یونجه به طور معنی­داری میزان pH حاصل از سیلاژ را نسبت به تیمار شاهد کاهش داد (0/05 نتیجه‌گیری: باتوجه‌به نتایج حاصل از این پژوهش، استفاده از تفاله خرما به ­منظور بهبود ارزش تغذیه ­ای، فراسنجه‌های تخمیری، گوارش‌پذیری و پایداری هوازی سیلاژ یونجه پیشنهاد می­ گردد.
