      این پژوهش به­منظور تعیین ترکیب شیمیایی سیلاژ خارشتر با ضایعات خرما و تأثیر سطوح مختلف آن بر مصرف ماده خشک، قابلیت هضم مواد مغذی و فراسنجه­های خونی در گوسفند نژاد کرمانی انجام شد. برای تهیه سیلاژ، 100 کیلوگرم خارشتر با 20 کیلوگرم خرما بدون هسته با هم کاملا مخلوط شد و به مدت 45 روز در سطل­های با گنجایش 100 لیتر سیلو گردید. سپس ترکیب شیمیایی و pH تعیین و انرژی متابولیسمی سیلاژ برآورد شد. جیره­های آزمایشی شامل: 1) جیره شاهد (بدون سیلاژ خارشتر با ضایعات خرما)، 2) جیره دارای 7 درصد سیلاژ خارشتر با ضایعات خرما 3) جیره دارای 14 درصد سیلاژ خارشتر با ضایعات خرما 4) جیره دارای 21 درصد سیلاژ خارشتر با ضایعات خرما استفاده شد. آزمایش در 4 دوره 21 روزه با 4 راس گوسفند نر نژاد کرمانی با میانگین وزنی 2±41 کیلوگرم در قالب طرح چرخشی انجام شد. روز آخر هر دوره پیش از مصرف خوراک نمونه­های خون جمع­آوری و به آزمایشگاه فرستاده شد. افزودن ضایعات خرما به خارشتر هنگام سیلو کردن سبب بهبود کیفیت سیلاژ خارشتر، افزایش پروتئین خام و چربی خام شد (05/0P< نمره فلیگ سیلاژ خارشتر با ضایعات خرما بالای 100 برآورد شد که نشان دهنده کیفیت بسیار خوب سیلو بود. مصرف ماده خشک در گوسفندان تحت تأثیر جیره­های آزمایشی قرار گرفت (05/0>P). به­طوری­که بیشترین مصرف ماده خشک مربوط گوسفندان تغذیه شده با جیره آزمایشی 4 بود. استفاده از سیلاژ خارشتر با ضایعات خرما، تأثیر معنی­داری بر قابلیت هضم ظاهری ماده آلی و پروتئین خام جیره­های آزمایشی داشت (05/0>P). با افزایش سطح سیلاژ در جیره، سطح گلوکز خون به صورت خطی افزایش پیدا کرد (05/0P<). با توجه به این نتایج، می­توان از سیلاژ خارشتر با ضایعات خرما تا سطح 21 درصد در جیره گوسفند استفاده کرد.
