به منظور بررسی تأثیر جایگزینی سطوح مختلف بقایای پسته پاک کنی با یونجه در جیره بزهای رائینی، دو آزمایش انجام شد. در آزمایش اول، تأثیر جیره‌های حاوی سطوح صفر، 25، 50 و 75 درصد بقایای پسته پاک کنی بر روند تخمیر شکمبه در شرایط آزمایشگاهی با 4 تیمار و 3 تکرار، به مدت 24 ساعت در شرایط تولید گاز انجام شد. آزمایش دوم اثر جیره‌های مزبور بر عملکرد بزهای داشتی انجام شد که در آن تعداد 20 رأس بز رائینی با میانگین وزن اولیه 69/2±4/33 کیلوگرم، به‌مدت 84 روز با جیره‌های آزمایشی با نسبت 80 درصد علوفه و 20 درصد کنسانتره تغذیه شدند. داده‌های حاصل از هر دو آزمایش، در قالب طرح کاملاً تصادفی تجزیه آماری شدند. با جایگزین کردن سطح 50 و 75 درصد بقایای پسته پاک کنی به جای یونجه، پروتئین خام، کربوهیدرات محلول و بخش های فیبری جیره کاهش اما ترکیبات فنلی جیره‌های آزمایشی نسبت به جیره شاهد و جیره حاوی 25 درصد بقایای پسته پاک کنی افزایش یافت (01/0P<). گاز تولیدی پس از 24 ساعت و فراسنجه های برآورد شده بر اساس گاز زمان 24 ساعت انکوباسیون با افزایش سطح بقایای پسته پاک کنی به 50 و 75 درصد کاهش خطی داشت (01/0P<). مقدار عامل تفکیک جیره‌های حاوی سطوح 50 و 75 درصد محصول فرعی پسته افزایش معنی‌داری نسبت به جیره شاهد و جیره حاوی 25 درصد بقایای پسته پاک کنی داشت (01/0P<). مصرف ماده خشک و پروتئین، افزایش وزن روزانه بزها و بزغاله‌ها با افزایش سطح بقایای پسته پاک کنی به 50 و 75 درصد جیرهبه طور خطی کاهش یافت (01/0P<). به‌طور کلی استفاده از بقایای پسته پاک کنی به میزان 25 درصد در جیره بزهای شیرده رائینی (بعد از زایش) در مقایسه با یونجه نتایج مشابهی بر فراسنجه‌های تخمیر شکمبه ای، عملکرد بزها و افزایش وزن بزغاله‌ها داشت اما سطوح بالاتر اثر محدود کننده بر متغیرهای مزبور داشت.
