به‌منظور بررسی عوامل مدیریتی مؤثر بر میزان تلفات در مزارع پرورش جوجه‌های گوشتی در شهرستان‌های رامیان و آزادشهر در استان گلستان از ۶۵ واحد فعال مرغداری گوشتی در دوره‌های پرورش ۹۷-۹۸ اطلاعات لازم در قالب پرسشنامه جمع‌آوری شد. برای مقایسه میانگین دو صفت مورد بررسی (تلفات هفته اول و درصد تلفات کل) در سطوح مختلف عوامل مدیریتی از آزمون حداقل تفاوت معنی‌دار در رویه GLM نرم‌افزار SAS استفاده شد. نتایج نشان داد که میزان تلفات مرغداری‌ها در شهرستان رامیان نسبت به شهرستان آزادشهر کمتر بود (0/05<p). به‌طور کلی ظرفیت بالای مرغداری و مساحت زیاد سالن‌ها باعث افزایش تلفات شدند. افزایش دفعات جوجه‌ریزی باعث افزایش تلفات شد (0/05>p). فاصله مرغداری از شهر، روستا و واحد‌های مرغداری مجاور بر میزان تلفات اثر‌گذار نبود. همچنین سویه، فصل پرورش، سن مدیر و تجربه مدیر در این زمینه اثر معنی‌داری بر میزان تلفات نداشت. تلفات به‌طور معنی‌داری تحت تأثیر میزان تحصیلات مدیر قرار گرفت و واحدهایی که مدیر آن‌ها تحصیلات دانشگاهی داشتند با تلفات کمتری روبرو شدند (0/05>p). وجود بیماری، میزان تلفات را به‌طور معنی‌داری افزایش داد (0/05>p). نوع خوراک (آردی یا پلت) تأثیر معنی‌داری بر تلفات نداشت اما اثر منبع تهیه خوراک بر تلفات معنی‌دار بود واحدهایی که جیره آماده از کارخانه تهیه کرده بودند تلفات کمتری داشتند (0/05>p). درمجموع نتایج این تحقیق نشان داد که ظرفیت و مساحت مرغداری، دفعات جوجه‌ریزی، میزان تحصیلات مدیر، وجود بیماری از مهم‌ترین عوامل مدیریتی تأثیر‌گذار بر میزان تلفات هستند.
