  هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی اثر بلوس آهسته ­رهش روی و سلنیوم و مقایسه آن با تغذیه روزانه این عناصر در اواخر دوره آبستنی و اوایل شیردهی، بر عملکرد میش ­ها و بره­ های آن­ها بود. در فصل تولیدمثل تعداد 21 رأس میش نژاد مهربان با میانگین وزنی 5/2 ± 55 کیلوگرم و اسکور بدنی 3-2/5، با استفاده از اسفنج، همزمان­ سازی فحلی شدند. در زمان خروج اسفنج، کلیه میش­ ها 400 واحد بین­المللی PMSG (گنادوتروپین سرم مادیان آبستن) دریافت کردند و سپس با قوچ­ های نژاد افشار- برولا تلاقی داده شدند. 45 روز قبل از تاریخ مورد انتظار زایش، میش­ های آبستن به یکی از این سه گروه اختصاص یافتند: 1) تیمار شاهد 2) تیمار 20 میلی­ گرم روی و 0/2 میلی­ گرم سلنیوم در روز به­ صورت بلوس آهسته­رهش 3) تیمار 20 میلی ­گرم روی و 0/2 میلی­ گرم سلنیوم به­ صورت تغذیه روزانه نمک این عناصر. مکمل ­سازی عناصر روی و سلنیوم در هر دو روش، باعث افزایش غلظت روی و سلنیوم پلاسما و فعالیت آنزیم­ های گلوتاتیون­پراکسیداز و سوپر­اکسید­دیسموتاز میش­ ها در همه روزهای آزمایش و افزایش غلظت روی و سلنیوم در آغوز و شیر شد (0/05>p). مقدار هموگلوبین و تعداد گلبول­های قرمز خون در هر دو گروه میش­ های دریافت­ کننده روی و سلنیوم نسبت به گروه شاهد بالاتر بود (0/05>p). در بره ­های حاصل از هر دو گروه میش­ های دریافت­ کننده روی و سلنیوم، غلظت پلاسمایی این عناصر و فعالیت آنزیم گلوتاتیون­پراکسیداز در مقایسه با گروه شاهد افزایش یافت. مکمل­ سازی مادری عناصر روی و سلنیوم در هر دو روش، باعث افزایش وزن 20 و 30 روزگی و افزایش وزن روزانه (21 تا 30 روزگی) بره ­ها شد. به­ طور کلی، مکمل­ سازی روی و سلنیوم، باعث افزایش غلظت پلاسمایی این عناصر و فعالیت آنزیم­ های آنتی­ اکسیدانی در میش­ ها و بره ­های آن­ها و بهبود عملکرد رشد بره­ ها شد. بین دو روش بلوس و تغذیه روزانه عناصر تفاوتی مشاهده نشد. بنابراین به­ کار بردن بلوس ­ها به­ سبب سهولت استفاده از آن­ها، توصیه می­ شود.
