   به ­منظور پیش بینی (کو)واریانس و پارامترهای ژنتیکی و فنوتیپی صفات رشد گوسفند مغانی از داده‌های مربوط به صفات وزن تولد (7368 رکورد)، شیرگیری (5892 رکورد)، شش‌ماهگی (5110 رکورد)، نه‌ماهگی (2912 رکورد) و یک‌سالگی (2893 رکورد)  طی سال‌های 1373 تا 1395 از ایستگاه پرورش و اصلاح نژاد گوسفند مغانی در جعفرآباد مغان استفاده شد. اجزای (کو)واریانس و فراسنجه‌های ژنتیکی، به ­دلیل دقت بالای روش آماری بیزی مبتنی بر تکنیک نمونه­ گیری گیبس، با این روش برآورد شدند. عوامل محیطی سال تولد، فصل تولد، جنسیت بره، نوع تولد و سن مادر هنگام زایش بر کلیه صفات مزبور معنی‌دار بودند (01/0>p) و به­عنوان اثرات ثابت در مدل قرار گرفتند. سن دام هنگام وزن‌کشی به ­عنوان متغیر کمکی در مدل استفاده شد. بر اساس کمترین مقدار ثابت آکائیکی برای صفات وزن‌های تولد، شیرگیری، شش‌ماهگی، نه‌ماهگی و یک­سالگی مقدار وراثت‌پذیری مستقیم به ­ترتیب برابر 003/0± 35/0، 004/0± 20/0، 002/0± 23/0، 004/0±36/0 و 003/0± 24/0 برآورد شدند. وراثت‌پذیری مادری برای صفات وزن تولد و شیرگیری به­ ترتیب برابر002/0±26/0 و 002/0±11/0 محاسبه شد. نتایج نشان داد با افزایش سن بره و کاهش وابستگی بره به مادر، سهم اثرات مادری نسبت به اثرات ژنتیکی مستقیم کم می‌شود، لذا با افزایش سن به ­علت کاهش وابستگی بره به مادر، از اهمیت این اثر کاسته شد. وراثت ­پذیری متوسط به‌دست آمده برای صفات مورد بررسی بیانگر مؤثر بودن انتخاب در بهبود ژنتیکی می باشد.
