     هدف این پژوهش ارزیابی اثر سطوح پودر سیر و دارچین بر سیستم ضد ‌اکسیدانی و فراسنجه­های خونی جوجه‌های گوشتی تحت تنش گرمایی بود. تعداد 240 قطعه جوجه خروس گوشتی در 6 تیمار با 4 تکرار  تقسیم شدند. آزمایش در قالب طرح کاملاً تصادفی به صورت فاکتوریل 3×2  شامل 2 سطح پودر سیر (صفر و 5/1 درصد) و 3 سطح پودر دارچین (0، 4/0 و 8/0 درصد) اجرا شد. در دوره 42-29 روزگی، جوجه‌ها روزانه به مدت6 ساعت در معرض تنش گرمایی (oC 32) قرار گرفتند. در روزهای 40 و 42 از جوجه­ها خونگیری به عمل آمد. تحلیل داده­ها نشان داد افزودن پودر سیر و دارچین بر عملکرد و صفات لاشه تاثیر معنی‌داری نداشت. پودر دارچین بر میزان مالون دی­آلدئید (MDA) پلاسمای جوجه‌های تحت تنش گرمایی اثر نداشت ولی پودر سیر میزان MDA پلاسما را کاهش داد (05/0>P). دارچین به طور معنی‌داری میزان فعالیت آنزیم گلوتاتیون پراکسیداز (GSH-Px) را افزایش داد ولی پودر سیر بر میزان فعالیت GSH-Px اثر نداشت. پودر سیر و دارچین اثر هم‌کوشی بر فعالیت آنزیم  GSH-Pxداشت. گلوکز خون در جوجه‌های تغذیه شده با پودر سیر و /یا دارچین کاهش یافت (05/0>P). پودر دارچین، کلسترول سرم خون را کاهش داد ولی چنین اثری با پودر سیر مشاهده نشد. میزان فعالیت آنزیم سوپراکسید دسموتاز (SOD)  و کراتین کیناز و غلظت تری‌گلیسرید،LDL ، HDL سرم خون تحت تأثیر جیره­های آزمایشی قرار نگرفت (05/0<P). بنابراین مکمل نمودن دارچین به جیره جوجه‌های گوشتی تحت تنش گرمایی احتمالا باعث تقویت سیستم ضد ‌اکسیدانی و تعدیل برخی از فراسنجه­های خونی شود.
