به‌منظور بررسی تأثیر سطوح مختلف پودر پر هیدرولیز شده بر عملکرد و فراسنجه ­های بیوشیمیایی سرم جوجه های گوشتی، آزمایشی در قالب طرح کاملاً تصادفی با چهار تیمار، شش تکرار و 26 قطعه پرنده در هر تکرار، از سن 15 تا 42 روزگی انجام شد. تیمارهای آزمایشی مورد استفاده شامل: جیره فاقد پودر پر (شاهد) و جیره ­های دارای یک، دو و سه درصد پودر پر هیدرولیز شده بودند. نتایج حاصل از این آزمایش نشان داد که استفاده از پودر پر تا سطح سه درصد تأثیر معنی ­داری بر میزان وزن بدن، خوراک مصرفی، ضریب تبدیل غذایی خوراک، درصد ماندگاری و شاخص تولید نسبت به تیمار شاهد نداشت. استفاده از سطوح پودر پر هیدرولیز شده در جیره سبب کاهش معنی­ دار هزینه خوراک مصرفی به ازای هر کیلوگرم وزن زنده شد (0/01>p).فراسنجه ­های خونی مانند آلبومین، گلبولین، پروتئین تام، کلسترول، لیپو پروتئین پر چگالی کلسترول (HDL-کلسترول) و تری ­گلسیرید تحت­ تأثیر سطوح پودر پر قرار نگرفتند. قابلیت هضم ایلئومی پروتئین خام پودر پر هیدرولیز شده 75/17 درصد اندازه­ گیری شد. به طور کلی به سبب کمتر بودن هزینه خوراک به­ ازای هر کیلوگرم وزن زنده به دست آمده و توانایی پودر پر در تأمین بخشی از پروتئین جیره، استفاده از سه درصد پودر پر هیدرولیز شده در جیره جوجه­ های گوشتی قابل توصیه است.
