هدف از این مطالعه بررسی اثرات دانه کتان اکسترود شده و مکمل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج بر عملکرد، غلظت برخی متابولیت­ ها و پارامترهای سلامتی گوساله­ های شیرخوار هلشتاین بود. ،این تحقیق با 30 راس گوساله هلشتاین تازه متولد شده با میانگین سنی 8-1 روز و میانیگن وزنی 2±39 کیلوگرم با 6 تیمار و 5 تکرار به ­صورت یک آزمایش فاکتوریل و در قالب طرح کاملاً تصادفی انجام شد. تیمارهای آزمایشی شامل: 1) جیره پایه بدون افزودنی (شاهد)، 2) جیره پایه به ­همراه 3 درصد دانه کتان اکسترود شده و بدون مکمل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج، 3) جیره پایه به­ همراه 3 درصد دانه کتان اکسترود شده و 10 گرم مکمل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج، 4) جیره پایه به ­همراه 6 درصد دانه کتان اکسترود شده و بدون مکمل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج، 5) جیره پایه به­  همراه 6 درصد دانه کتان اکسترود شده و 10 گرم مکمل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج و 6) جیره پایه به ­همراه 10 گرم مکمل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج و بدون دانه کتان اکسترود شده بودند. گوساله ­ها به محل باکس­ های انفرادی انتقال و خوراک آغازین و آب در حد اشتها در اختیارشان قرار داده ­شد. به ­منظور اندازه ­گیری فراسنجه­ های خونی در روز­های 30 و 75 خونگیری از سیاهرگ وداج گوساله­ ها خونگیری انجام گرفت و همچنین عملکرد رشد و ضریب تبدیل خوراک نیز محاسبه گردید. نتایج نشان ­داد که عامل کتان اکسترود شده اثر معنی­ داری بر وزن نهایی گوساله­ ها داشت (0/0514=p). در حالی­که عامل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج و اثر متقابل آن­ها وزن نهایی را تحت­ تاثیر قرار نداد. نتایج نشان ­داد که افزودن مکمل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج، کتان اکسترود شده در جیره گوساله­ های شیرخوار، اثر معنی ­داری بر افزایش وزن روزانه در ماه­های اول و دوم و کل دوره پرورشی نداشتند. عامل اسید لینولئیک مزدوج، کتان اکسترود شده و اثر متقابل آن­ها نتوانست مصرف خوراک و ضریب تبدیل غذایی در ماه ­های اول، دوم و کل دوره پرورشی را بهبود دهد. همچنین فراسنجه ­های خونی (گلوکز خون، کلسترول، پروتئین کل، آلبومین و تری­گلیسرید) و پارامترهای رشد اسکلتی (طول بدن، دور سینه، ارتفاع از جدوگاه، عرض استخوان هیپ و فاصله استحوان هیپ تا پین) با افزودن اسید لینولئیک مزدوج و دانه کتان اکسترود شده در جیره گوساله­ های شیرخوار تحت ­تاثیر قرار نگرفت. به ­طور کلی نتیجه ­گیری می­ شود که افزودن اسید لینولئیک مزدوج و دانه کتان اکسترود شده با این سطوح استفاده شده نتوانست عمکرد رشد، و فراسنجه ­های خونی را بهبود بخشد.
