سی و شش قطعه خروس به 12 گروه‏ 3 تایی شامل 4 تیمار، هر تیمار 3 تکرار و در هر تکرار 3 خروس تقسیم شدند. تیمارها شامل: 1) جیره شاهد بدون افزودن مکمل ویتامین C و E 2) جیره C دارایmg/kg  1000 ویتامین C، 3) جیره E دارای mg/kg 1000 ویتامینE ، 4) جیرهE +C دارای ویتامین C و ویتامین E. خروس‌ها به­مدت 28 روز با جیره تغذیه شدند. اسپرمگیری، با روش مالش- شکمی انجام شد و منی با استفاده از محلول بافرتریس رقیق شد و در دمای 0C5 نگه­داری شدند. و ویژگی­ های غلظت، جنبایی کل، جنبایی پیشرونده و زنده ­مانی، در صفر، 6، 12، 24 و 48 ساعت بعد از اسپرم‏ گیری اندازه‌گیری شدند. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‏ های این پژوهش در قالب یک طرح کاملاً تصادفی انجام پذیرفت. نتایج نشان داد که ویتامین E باعث افزایش تحرک، افزایش اسپرم زنده، افزایش اسپرم پیش‏رونده، در تمام زمان‏ها همچنین افزایش حجم و غلظت شد. نتایج تاثیر ویتامین E+C کاملاً مشابه نتایج ویتامین E بود. به ‏نظر می ‏رسد، در این پژوهش، ویتامین E در جیره غذایی در بهبود وضعیت فراسنجه­ های اسپرم خروس بومی ورامین، در شرایط سرد، مؤثرتر از دیگر گروه‏ های آزمایشی بود. بنابراین  احتمالاً تجویز آن می­ تواند در جیره، برای بهبود وضعیت اسپرم در طیور، مناسب باشد.
