     هدف از این آزمایش بررسی تأثیر زمان بندی مصرف پروبیوتیک برپایه باکتری‌های اسید لاکتیکی و بر عملکرد رشد و فعالیت ضد میکروبی گلبول‌های سفید گوساله‌های نر کردی بود. از این رو تعداد 12 راس گوساله نر با میانگین وزن 10± 195 کیلوگرم و سن 10±240 روز پس از دوره عادت‌پذیری و شرایط یکسان به­ طور تصادفی به سه گروه آزمایشی با چهار تکرار تقسیم شدند. گروه‌های آزمایشی شامل تیمار 1) گوساله‌هایی که از جیره رایج بدون استفاده از پروبیوتیک تغذیه شدند (کنترل). 2) گوساله‌هایی که از جیره کنترل و با پروبیوتیک استفاده نمودند. 3) گوساله‌هایی که جیره کنترل و دو روز در میان پروبیوتیک را طی دوره 105 روزه آزمایش مصرف نمودند. برای بررسی عملکرد رشد و ضریب تبدیل خوراک، در روز 52 و 105 آزمایش پس از 14 ساعت گرسنگی، توزین و رکوردگیری وزن انجام شد. در انتهای آزمایش میزان اکسیژن فعال سلول‌های سفید خون به ­عنوان شاخص فعالیت ضد میکروبی اندازه گیری شد. افزایش وزن و ضریب تبدیل خوراک تیمار 2 و 3 در پایان دوره آزمایش نسبت به هم تفاوت معنی‌داری نداشت ولی به طور معنی‌داری نسبت به تیمار کنترل به ترتیب بیشتر و کمتر بود (05/0). طی این مدت میانگین مصرف خوراک تیمار3 نسبت به تیمار 2 نیز کمتر بود (0424/0=p).  تفاوت میانگین اکسیژن فعال میان تیمارهای آزمایشی معنی‌دار نبود. این نتایج  نشان داد که اگر چه فعالیت ضد میکروبی سلول‌های خونی تحت تأثیر پروبیوتیک واقع نشد ولی استفاده از پروبیوتیک تأثیر مثبتی بر بهبود رشد و ضریب تبدیل خوراک گوساله‌های نژاد کردی داشت و در نتیجه می‌توان برنامه استفاده روزانه پروبیوتیک را به استفاده دو روز در میان تغییر داد.
