هدف از این طرح بررسی اثرات مکمل­ سازی سیلاژ یونجه با افزودنی لاکتوباسیلوس بوچنری، تفاله پرتقال و ملاس روی قابلیت تجزیه­ پذیری ماده خشک، پروتئین خام و ماده آلی به روش کیسه­ های نایلونی بود. تیمارهای آزمایشی شامل: سیلاژ یونجه (تیمار شاهد)، سیلاژ یونجه فرآوری­ شده با افزودنی باکتریایی  cfu/g108×3، مخلوط سیلاژ یونجه و تفاله پرتقال، مخلوط سیلاژ یونجه و تفاله پرتقال فرآوری­ شده با افزودنی باکتریایی cfu/g 108×3، سیلاژ یونجه فرآوری­ شده با 5 درصد ملاس و سیلاژ یونجه فرآوری­ شده با 5 درصد ملاس و افزودنی باکتریایی cfu/g 108×3 بودند. علوفه یونجه در مرحله گلدهی برداشت و پس از 24 ساعت پلاسیده شدن به همراه تفاله پرتقال با سطح ذکر شده لالسیل با نسبت وزنی 2100 گرم یونجه پلاسیده و760 گرم تفاله پرتقال به مدت 90 روز سیلو گردید. پس از باز کردن سیلوها به­ منظور بررسی تجزیه ­پذیری ماده خشک، پروتئین خام و ماده آلی سیلاژها در ساعات 0، 2، 4، 6، 8، 12، 16، 24، 48، 72، 96 و 120 از دو راس گوسفند نر بالغ فیستولا گذاری شده استفاده گردید. داده‌های به دست آمده در قالب طرح آماری کاملاً تصادفی با 4 تکرار (2 تکرار در هر گوسفند) آنالیز گردید. با افزودن ملاس، تفاله پرتقال و افزودنی باکتریایی به یونجه  قابلیت ناپدید شدن ماده خشک و پروتئین خام به روش کیسه­های نایلونی به طور معنی‌داری نسبت به تیمار شاهد افزایش یافت (05/0>p). به­ طور کلی می‌توان نتیجه گرفت که افزودنی باکتریایی، ملاس و تفاله پرتقال به تنهایی و در کنار هم، سیلاژی با کیفیت تخمیری بهتر تولید کرد و استفاده از ملاس و یا تفاله پرتقال به عنوان منبع کربوهیدراتی قابل استفاده برای جمعیت باکتریایی مفید در تهیه سیلاژ با کیفیت از یونجه، به ­دلیل کمبودهای این گیاه ارزشمند، موثر بود.
