این پژوهش به­منظور برآورد ضریب هم­خونی و تأثیر آن بر برخی از صفات تولیدی و تولید­مثلی در گاو­های هلشتاین مجتمع کشت و صنعت مغان با استفاده از اطلاعات شجره­ای 17966 رأس گاو هلشتاین از سال 1386 تا 1395 انجام شد. برای آماده سازی و ویرایش داده­ها، برآورد ضریب هم­خونی و محاسبه میزان تابعیت صفات از هم­خونی به ترتیب از نرم­افزار­های Fox pro،Excel ،CFC  و Wombat استفاده گردید. نتایج نشان داد 12/30 درصد کل حیوانات هم­خون بودند. میانگین ضریب هم­خونی کل جمعیت و حیوانات هم­خون به ترتیب 56/0 و 85/1 درصد برآورد شد. کمترین و بیشترین مقادیر هم­خونی در این گله به ترتیب 78/0 و 5/37 درصد مشاهده گردید. افت ناشی از هم­خونی به ازای افزایش یک درصد هم­خونی برای صفات میزان تولید شیر، تعداد روز­های شیردهی، روز­های باز و سن اولین زایش به­ترتیب 14/15-کیلو­گرم، 60/1-، 09/0 و 40/0 روز برآورد شدند، که به جز صفت سن اولین زایش از لحاظ آماری معنی­دار نبودند (01/0>P). نتایج این پژوهش نشان داد که میانگین ضریب
هم­خونی در این گله نسبت به جوامع مشابه دیگر کمتر بود، که می­تواند با عواملی مانند جلوگیری از آمیزش­های خویشاوندی خیلی نزدیک و تمایل به جفت­گیری­های کنترل شده در ارتباط باشد.
