   هورمون آزادکننده گنادوتروپین‌ها (GnRH) یک مولکول تنظیم‌کننده کلیدی در محور هیپوفیز-هیپوتالاموس است که رونویسی هورمون لوتئینه کننده (LH) در هیپوفیز را القاء می‌کند. تحقیقات نشان داده که استروژن نقش مهمی در تنظیم GnRH ایفا می­کند. همچنین آزمایشات اخیر نشان داده که گیاه پنج‌انگشت حاوی مقدار زیادی فیتواستروژن است. از این­رو، در مطالعه حاضر به بررسی اثر پودر میوه گیاه پنج‌انگشت بر بیان ژن GnRH و LH در مرغان تخمگذار با استفاده از تکنیک Real time qPCR پرداخته شد. برای انجام این آزمایش از 90 قطعه مرغ تخمگذار سویه تجاری­های‌لاین (W-36) از سن 72 تا 80 هفتگی در قالب یک طرح کاملاً تصادفی با 3 تیمار، 5 تکرار و 6 قطعه مرغ در هر تکرار به ­مدت 56 روز استفاده شد. سه تیمار آزمایشی عبارت بودند از: 1- جیره شاهد (جیره پایه بدون هیچ افزودنی)، 2- جیره پایه به­ همراه 1 درصد پودر میوه گیاه پنج‌انگشت، 3- جیره پایه به ­همراه 2 درصد پودر میوه گیاه پنج‌انگشت. در انتهای آزمایش یک مرغ از هر تکرار کشتار شد، هیپوتالاموس آن‌ها جدا و به آزمایشگاه منتقل گردید. سپس RNA استخراج شده و برای سنتز cDNA مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. نتایج تجزیه واریانس نشان ­داد بیان ژن GnRH در تیمار 3 (جیره حاوی 2 درصد پودر میوه گیاه پنج‌انگشت) نسبت به شاهد و تیمار 1 درصد افزایش معنی‌داری داشت (0/01>p )، در حالی­که افزودن پودر میوه گیاه پنج‌انگشت به­ میزان 1 درصد تآثیر معنی‌داری بر بیان ژن GnRH نداشت ( 0/05 < p). علاوه براین افزودن 1 و 2 درصد پودر میوه گیاه پنج‌انگشت تأثیر معنی‌داری بر بیان ژن LH نداشت (0/05 < p). نتایج این تحقیق نشان­داد که افزودن پودر میوه گیاه پنج‌انگشت به­ میزان 2 درصد نمی‌تواند بر محور هیپوفیز-هیپوتالاموس مرغ تخمگذار در سنین 72 تا 80 هفتگی تأثیرگذار باشد.
