     این آزمایش به­ منظور بررسی اثرات اسانس بذر کتان (صفر، 60 و 120 میلی­گرم اسانس  به­ ازای هر کیلوگرم) بر ترکیبات شیمیایی، پایداری هوازی و فراسنجه ­های تولید گاز سیلاژ یونجه انجام گرفت. تیمارهای آزمایشی شامل یونجه بدون افزودنی (شاهد)، 2. یونجه به ­علاوه 60 میلی­ گرم در کیلوگرم اسانس بذر کتان، یونجه به ­علاوه 120 میلی­ گرم درکیلوگرم اسانس بذر کتان بودند که به­ مدت 60 روز در دمای اتاق سیلو شدند. پس از باز نمودن سیلوها اندازه­ گیری قابلیت تولید گاز با استفاده از روش درون آزمایشگاهی با 5 تکرار در ساعت­ های 2، 4، 6، 8، 12، 16، 24، 36، 48، 72، 96 و 120 انجام گرفت. داده­ های بدست­ آمده در قالب طرح آماری کاملاً تصادفی آنالیز شدند. افزودن اسانس بذر کتان در هردو سطح 60 و 120 میلی­ گرم بر کیلوگرم به سیلاژ یونجه میزان pH سیلاژ را به ­طور معنی­ داری (05/0(p< نسبت به شاهد کاهش داد. افزودن اسانس به سیلاژ یونجه بر میزان ماده­ خشک تاثیر گذاشت به­ طوری که در تیمار مکمل شده با سطح 120 میلی­ گرم، ماده خشک (02/30%) نسبت به شاهد (43/24%) افزایش یافت. افزودن اسانس بذر کتان در سطح 120 میلی­ گرم به سیلاژ یونجه میزان پروتئین خام (36/12%) و کربوهیدرات­ های محلول در آب (61/4 %) را افزایش داد (05/0(p<. افزودن اسانس بذر کتان در غلظت­ های 60 و 120 میلی­ گرم به سیلاژ یونجه به ­طور معنی­ داری (05/0(p< نیتروژن­ آمونیاکی را نسبت به تیمار شاهد کاهش داد. هر دو سطح 60 و 120 میلی­ گرم اسانس بذر کتان موجب کاهش حجم تولید گاز نسبت به تیمار شاهد شد (05/0(p<. در کل داده ­های به ­دست آمده نشان­ دهنده اثر مثبت اسانس کتان بر کیفیت سیلاژ یونجه و خصوصیات تخمیری آن است.
